Sam’s career has taught him various aspects of design, manufacturing, quality, people management and personal accountability. He is a strong advocate of the team approach, and believes that colleagues, customers and suppliers should all enjoy the best possible interactions when collaborating on projects. Always having wanted to run a small business, Sam saw an opportunity to acquire a “fun” business and got into ice sculpting. Sam guides all aspects of the Arizona Ice Art operation with the support of his team.
Rodney was born and raised in northern Indiana. During high school he began working in kitchens. A few years after graduation he moved to Arizona, going to work at the El Tovar hotel on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. This fueled his passion for cooking and the foodservice industry. Over the years he started ice carving as a way to enhance buffets, special events and excite guests. Upon retiring from professional kitchens he joined the team at Arizona Ice Art. Since joining he has continued to expand his skills and creativity working in all areas of the operation.
Proud dad and artist, Brian was born and raised in Baltimore, MD and attended Pennsylvania Culinary School in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. Brian moved to Tucson to further his food service experience at the Westin La Paloma Resort where he also assisted in the creation of ice sculptures. Brian enjoys the artistic and meditative process of creating ice sculptures and joined the team at Arizona Ice Art to further master his ice carving talent.
Born in SoCal and raised in Tucson, Jason considers himself a child of the 80’s and was educated and cultured within a loving family. As an avid golfer, Jason has no need to brag about his golf game because it speaks for itself. As an art lover, he has visited some of our nation’s most prized museums to admire the type of true art which can only be appreciated in person. A jack of all trades, Jason brings his varied skills and inventiveness to Arizona Ice Art and supports the operation inside and outside our four walls. His effort helps the rest of our team stay focused and productive.
Alicia enjoys her role at Arizona Ice Art, and considers it to be the COOLEST job in Tucson. As a very organized person with a good eye for detail, Alicia plays an important role in manufacturing ice and ice products through her hands-on style.
